Volunteers Needed |

Volunteers wanted to work in Sri Lanka to help directly in a number of church projects. Reverend Jeynesan, is making an appeal for volunteers. He would like volunteers from all walks of life, of all ages to offer their services for periods as short as a few weeks to months to help with the various requirements of these projects. Free accommodation and transport from Colombo to the orphanages, which is located in the East of Sri Lanka, is available for such volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or would like to donate to these projects, why not make contact with Trevor Thevarajah, a member of the Shrewsbury Lions club for further details. Call him on 01952 594502 or email him at tt@nortonconsulting.co.uk. Not only will you be visiting one of most beautiful Islands in the world with miles of palm fringed beeches and year round sunshine, you will also have the satisfaction of having helped a truly worthy cause. If you are retired or desire a break between school terms or work, why not give it a try. It may turn out to be an experience of a life time. Please note: that Sri Lanka is a country which has experienced civil war. A peace pact has now been signed which appears to be holding out. Whilst every endeavour would be made to ensure your safety, the Church or this campaign cannot be responsible
