St. John’s Mission visit report (July/Aug 2005)

This is the latest report after our visit to Sri Lanka between the 27th of July 15th of August 2005. The visit had two purposes, one to assess the Orphanage and other projects that we support through the St. John’s mission and Rev Jeyanesan, the other was to ensure that a sum of £52,900 which was collected by the Lions club will be put to use quickly and efficiently.

Rather than a lengthy report, I have attached some photographs and an explanation with the hope that it builds a picture of the various projects that we support.

On the outset it should be set that Rev. Jeyanesan runs a highly efficient organisation which is administered with two keys facets of accountability and transparency. Rev. Jeyanesan also ensures that there is continues feedback to the donors and as such there is much confidence expressed by all the donors resulting in continuous and increased support for projects.

All the facilities were of very high standard and the dedication of the staff was very apparent.
